FAB not visible in Browser on tablet

On my tablets, the FAB does not appear when I'm browsing files in the Browser. (It does show up if I use split-screen to reduce VLC to 1/3 of the screen, which I assume makes it revert from Tablet UI to Smartphone UI, if I understand correctly.)

FAB appears.

Actual behavior

FAB not visible.

Steps to reproduce

1. On a tablet device, open VLC app
2. Go to Browser tab
3. Open a folder (Favorite or Storage)

App mode

Pardon my ignorance, I don't know which mode corresponds to Tablet UI. Would it be Smartphone or Auto? I didn't change it from the default mode.
