Aspect ratio changes but the window remains the same after the first video on Android 12

Description

My VLC player is set to play videos in 'best fit' mode. When playing videos from a folder the first video plays perfectly. But the second video onwards the aspect ratio changes yet the viewing window remains in 16:9. To watch the video in the correct aspect ratio I have to change it manually. This started happening only after I updated my phone to Android 12.

Expected behavior

All the videos in a folder should run in the preset aspect ratio.

Actual behavior

First video in a folder runs in the preset aspect ratio. But the second video onwards the viewing window remains in 16:9 but the aspect ratio changes.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to a folder containing few videos in the Browse section of the player.
2. Press the play button in the bottom right corner.
3. Watch the first video entirely so that the next video plays automatically or press next. This occurs in both occasions.
