Seconded. I no longer keep my music on my local device and being able to access it through webdav would bring me back to VLC as my main music player on android.

Since SMB doesn't work with MPD, I'm using webdav as my network share.

KODI supports the webdav out of the box including ZeroConf/MDNS discovery. Basically the list directory with PROPFIND should be enough
