Accessibility: Fonts are way too small
Description
I'm visually impaired, so I can't read the text of VLC for Android running on my nVidia SHIELD TV without crossing the room. There is no such thing as a "standard 10-foot interface" because TVs are all different sizes and different people have physically different vision, so that entire design philosophy should be completely scrapped from first principles.
Expected behavior
Bigger fonts, to a size I can actually read, particularly for file browsing.
I shouldn't need to pass the eye exam for a driver's license just to operate my TV.
How big do the fonts need to be? That's a "Just keep making it bigger and I'll tell you when to stop" kind of thing. Different people have very, very different needs on this.
Also, the user needs to be able to read even the smallest on-screen text. So UI needs to be able to properly expand to whatever they select. If your UI can't do that then you've probably made your UI too complex.
I personally prefer dark mode on most apps, so if we're completely redesigning the Android UI skin anyway, that might be something to make at the same time.
