OTG device not visible in media library preferences

Description

I'm using a 2tb ssd connected to my tablet as an OTG device (formatted to exfat, windows won't let me format it to fat32) I can access the files on the drive through the browse section of the app (though it does require me to re-grant vlc permission to access it each time I plug it in). When I navigate to more->settings->media library folders, the only option is "Internal Memory".

Expected behavior

AFAIK, the otg device should show up as an option in the media library selection list.

Actual behavior

The otg device does not appear on the list.

Steps to reproduce

1.plug in an OTG device that's formatted as exfat. 2.open the app and go to browse and select the device (correctly selecting the right location and allowing vlc access permissions when prompted) 2a. you can now see the files on the device 3.go to the media library preferences to add it to the list of locations to scan 4. observe how it is not possible to add the otg device to the list of locations to scan
