Android chromecast pause bug

Every time I pause a streaming video and try to resume it it crashes if I paused in one place and attempt to resume in another. Then the controls of both won't start it back up and I can do so from Google home's play button but it only finishes playing what's already buffered. Then I have to reopen the link and try to find where I was.
