VLC Android app (V3.17 on S7 Android 8.0.0) crashes after using sleep timer

Hello,

When I use the sleep timer, everything goes smoothly; songs play and the app shuts off. Yay. Love it.

The problem occurs when I try to use VLC again.

VLC opens, all my tunes are there, but it won't play them. I click on a track, and nothing happens. I have to go to the app setting, clear data (under "storage") then reopen the app and let it find all my music files again. I've tried just clearing the cache (under "storage"), but that doesn't do anything.

This happens every time I use the sleep timer. I can count on it.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, but that had no effect.

Samsung S7, Android 8.0.0. / VLC for Android V3.17.
