In the Android port, if the equalizer preset is not saved then EQ is reset to the last preset when it's next opened

With some audio, particularly audiobooks, I want to remove some mastering artifacts—this adjustment is only applicable to one release so I don't save it as an EQ preset. But then, when I next open the equalizer to fiddle it further, all EQ settings are reset to the previously selected preset.

It goes like so: in the playback screen, invoke the equalizer and make some adjustments. Close the EQ either with the ‘back’ hardware button or by tapping outside the EQ dialog. You'll be prompted to save the preset—tap ‘Don't save’. Now open the EQ again. You'll be prompted to save the preset again, and meanwhile EQ settings will be reset to the values from the last active preset (or default values if no preset was selected).

Would it please be possible to have EQ not reset when opening?

Reproducibility is 100% for me. It also occurs with video.

VLC Android version 3.2.3 (from Google Play) on Android 4.2.

This is not caused by the recent redesign—it occurred before.
