VLC Android - External Storage Problem

I have a Samsung Android tablet with limited internal storage. I move as many apps to my external SD card as possible.

VLC Android has been configured to allow move to external storage for a long time.

Recent releases were problematic with the move, earlier releases the attempted move would result in "not enough storage" message.

The most recent release installed 3.2.10 moved ok, but has a problem when the app is located on external storage, and the app opened, the screen is blank except that background of the notification bar at the top changes to orange color.

No menu items, no directories or folders on the left.

When I move back to internal storage, VLC works fine.

Previous versions worked fine on external storage.
