Unknown artist when tapping on 3 dots to the right of folder and selecting play

I went from version 2.5.12 which does not have this problem to 3.05 and 3.07 that has the problem. I use tagRename and have confirmed all songs have an artist. Also In Windows file explorer EVERY file shows an artist name.

The worst problem is there is no way to know from VLC what song is causing the problem! VLC just shows unknown artist and hangs until I try to go back a screen and I get a message that says VLC isn't responding. Do you want to close it? Options wait or ok.

I have 2 folders one with 1252 songs and one with 25. It only does this when I try to play all form the folder with 1252 songs.

It's sad when a player can't play a song because it's not tagged. It's even sadder that I have checked and every file is in fact tagged with an artist. And it just plain sucks VLC does not give the offending file name(s) somewhere. I went back to version 2.5.12 and once again it works fine.
