VLC for Android does not recognize videos with no audio track
I have tried to play a H264-MPEG-4 AVC (.mp4) video from both my default gallery app, the 'My Files' app, and my root-enabled file explorer app; and in all three cases the VLC for Android app just starts and crashes or it just starts the VLC app and does not play the video.
This video only has a video stream/track, and no audio stream/track. This problem does not happen if I play other videos that have both audio+video streams/tracks.
The video plays successfully if I try to play it from within the VLC for Android app. If I select Directories, then navigate to the file within my file system, the video plays exactly as expected.
I think this might be an issue with intents being different when executed from VLC vs. when executed by a default android app or by the OS? I'm not sure about android intents.
