AB repeat disable bug

When I repeat a whole video, sometimes VlC starts to repeat only a part of the video without any action from me. Clicking afterwards on the button AB (that was not activated) to disable AB repeat again, has no effect. Since the AB repeat feature is buggy and interferes with the repeat function of the whole video, could you profide an option in the settings to disable the AB repeat feature completely so that no AB button is displayed, and so that the AB repeat feature can not be activated in anyway ?

I never use and never enable the AB repeat feature. It is always the AB repeat bug who starts to repeat a part of the video without any action from me and then I have to reinstall VLC to disable the AB repeat. But when I reinstall VLC I loose all my other VLC settings. But after some time the AB repeat bug activates again, so I have to reinstall VLC every time.
