Android VLC does not resume playback, starts again from the beginning of the video when using the Browse/File Explorer. Even though I have the "Resume Played Videos" option enabled from the settings.

Even though I have the "Resume Played Videos" option enabled from the settings. This has been happening on and off for a while, but has gotten much worse with the recent redesign. Android VLC does not resume playback. It starts again from the beginning of the video when using the Browse/File Explorer.

I'm trying to watch new lectures for school and this is super annoying and seriously making me want to switch apps, even though I've gotten so used to VLC.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open a video using Browse (going thru your file system) on VLC android
2. Skip a few minutes ahead and watch for a little.
3. Now try re-opening that video via Browse. The playback doesn't save to the few minutes ahead you left off at, rather, it starts again from the beginning.
