v3.3.1 broke all my playlists

My m3u playlists all worked fine in the previous version, and they all broke when v3.3.1 was installed.

My mp3 files are in folders like this:

Internal shared storage/Music/albums/Artist - Album/1. Song_1.mp3

I have m3u playlists in the Music folder, like this:

Internal shared storage/Music/Artist - Album.m3u

The m3u files have entries (one per line) like this:

albums/Artist - Album/1. Song_1.mp3

This worked fine in the prior version of VLC. After VLC Android v3.3.1 installed, the playlists were rescanned and VLC now reports that all of my playlists contain zero tracks.

This is running on a Google Pixel 3a with Android version 11 and Android security update September 5, 2020.
