VLC won't handle images as media files despite being able to display them just fine
Description
VLC for Android is able to play all kinds of media files, including various image formats (png, jpg, etc.), just like the desktop variants. However, the app currently seems to only consider audio and video files in several places, despite being able to play / display image files just fine. You can test this by enabling "Show all files" in the files tab and tapping on some random image, it will display for 10 seconds, just like on desktop. Also notice how there is no thumbnail for the file.
I assume this was probably done so all the images on a device wont clutter up the media browser, but this also impacts other features:
- Files tab: Clicking play on a folder with media will skip over all image files
- Files tab: Play button won't display on a folder with only images
- Not possible to open image files with VLC from an external file browser
- Playlists: Not possible to play them via an m3u playlist
Considering there are currently only video and audio tabs in the navigation bar, which wont show images anyways, I'd consider this a bug as I think it's expected VLC behavior that it can display images when prompted to via the Files browser, like on desktop.
