Vlc Android becomes silent with bluetooth connection if it's not in focus

Description

If my phone is connected to my Bluetooth headset or my Car Audio System via bluetooth, when i try to listen to something with VLC and exit the application (so make it running in background), after 15-20 seconds the audio become silent (but the song is still playing as the timer goes foward!). When i re-enter on VLC, making it the main focus of the screen, the audio starts to work again.

Funny thing, if there is another application in background that uses constant audio cues (like turning information on Google Maps), VLC in background works perfectly. It seems that the audio buffer is not continuously filled if VLC it out of focus.

Expected behavior

Streaming the audio without becoming silent

Actual behavior

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open VLC and play a song with some audio output connected via Bluetooth

  2. Press exit to make in on background and wait a bit

  3. Stream become silent

I'm attaching a log created with the steps above (Phone connected to a Bluetooth Headset). vlc_logcat_20200615_224516.log
