Changing playback speed results in audio distortion

Description

I have a problem playing sped up video on VLC for Android which in some respect is similar to https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/6509

I've also tried paying the same file on

• VLC 3.0.8 (cable connection) on desktop
• and VLC for Android 3.2.3 (wireless) on my old LG90 (D410)

there are no such problems.

Which made me at first thinking there might be something with TV Box, but the same distortion is no matter how big video rate and filesize are. Distortion is the same no matter whether it is network SMB share on internall TV Box Storage.

If I missing something, any suggestions orinstructions on how to diagnose it further are welcome.

Expected behavior

No sound distortion on playback speed change.

Actual behavior

Sound is distorted, and after 1.10x incomprehensible.

Steps to reproduce

1. Choose file to play (e.g. aiv, mkv).
2. Play.
3. Pause and change speed (e.g. 1.5x).
4. Play. Sound is distorted, but video seems normal.
