Subtitles not downloading to my TV.

I'm using VLC with a Sony TV. I used to download subtitles without a problem, but now I search the subtitles, VLC locates them, but when I select and click on any of the available subtitles they do not download (nothing happens). Is this a bug? Is it me? I hope somebody can help me!
