Playlists of unavailable streaming urls cause troves of "toast" popups

Description

This is about playing a playlist (m3u) of which some items are not playable or available via their url. Then, vlc skips to the next, and to the next, ... For each, a "toast" popup is launched. This is very annoying and visually blocks half my screen for a medium-sized playlist, for minutes, without a workaround. The reason may be just not having turned on my media server.

Expected behavior

only one popup per playlist

Actual behavior

for every failed stream in the playlist (skip->try the next playlist entry)

Steps to reproduce

Play a playlist (m3u) of e.g. http:// streams, which are not available at the moment (e.g. server down). Experience minutes of toast popups telling you about every single one of them, for potentially minutes.
