[3.2.0-beta5] VLC asks for password for Win10 SMB shares that are not password protected

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Turn OFF password protected sharing on Windows 10 64 bit.
  2. Share a folder, allow "Everyone" and "Guest" just to be sure. (also did it without "Everyone" and "Guest")
  3. Try to access that SMB share with 3.2 Beta 5
  4. VLC prompts me for a password despite not having a password enabled at all.

Am I missing something here? Is there a foolproof way to share Windows 10 SMB shares with VLC that I'm not aware of? Is a password required for SMB shares to work? I'd rather not use a password on my home network for a folder filled with nothing but video files so everybody can access it with 3.2 when it goes final.

Or is the SMB2/3 support in 3.2 not yet finished?
