Also rename libvlc_media_new to libvlc_media_new_location to remove
the ambiguity.

Reverts part of 7db94f4d2fc742537828fbe0c8eb5a and rewrite the code.

This is the patch as supplied, which needs work and as of yet doesn't
compile on non-unix. Fixes pending. -- jpd

Needs testing

This is bad, because many times you customize your vout configuration to make it work.

When second argument of a for statement is a sequence,
firsts expressions are evaluated as void with no usage
of their return value.
