6.0.2 bumps ABI in micro version update and without announcement

Commit a02a002f bumps ABI from .so.4 to .so.7 in a micro version update (6.0.1 to 6.0.2). Something like that should be done only when updating to 7.0.0 and should be mentioned in NEWS. Please revert or bump the version properly.
