"--vout=caopengllayer" option ignored?
Hi!
Anyone can confirm if VLCKit 3.x is ignoring the "--vout=caopengllayer" option?
My understanding is that, to embed a video player in a CALayer backed view (specifically, a NSCollectionViewItem), I need to use the "--vout=caopengllayer" option; that has a good chance to be true, since the player remains black or freezes if I instead initialize it with the default configuration and without disabling CALayer for the parent NSView. If I pass the OpenGL option, though, absolutely nothing changes (nor there are error messages logged), which led me to think that maybe there's a bug causing the player to ignore the vout parameter I'm passing.
I've been stuck on this for days, initially believing (and still doubting) that I must be something wrong, but also with a chance that there might be something actually going on (specifically, after seeing the post here with a "patch" download link now dead: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=130194&p=469046&hilit=caopengllayer#p436048). If this is not an issue with VLCKit, please don't hesitate to close this issue, I'll continue asking for help there on the forum.
Thanks in advance!
