quartztext, controlling playback with the Apple Remote and embedded AGL vouts (aka safari/mozilla plugin vouts) are not supported by now. Quartztext and AGL vout will need a complete rewrite.

The OS X interface no longer depends on the QuickTime framework.

This isn't fully functional, as the callbacks aren't being triggered, although set. Needs some more investigation.

macosx: added a non-implemented skeletion (just the UI) for a VLM configuration panel with a preliminary icon set

Removed broken, unmaintained and unfinished code. May be restored after 0.9.0 if there is enough time to do this kind of stuff (should be merged with the Extended Controls panel anyway)

The jam-based target is removed by this commmit.

Finally upgrade the build target to a native one (in favour of a jam-based one, whose support is to be reomoved by Xcode's next release)

Regrettably, this adds yet another file where to change the VLC version

Added the minimal-OSX class files and a couple of more related files to the project list for easier lookup

Split the display.png in 3 parts so the edges get rendered nicely when resizing the window. Additionally, slightly resized the vout in the embedded window to make it look more Leopard-like.

    projects/ - contains projects that link to libvlc other than vlc and the bindings.
    extras/package - contains the packaging specific files.
    extras/deprecated - deprecated files.
    extras/buildsystem - contains non-default buildsystem stuff.
    extras/analyser - contains code analyser (such as editor specific files) specific files.

macosx: GUI demo of Simple Preferences showing the Interface and Audio categories. Feedback is welcome.

macosx: added an option to automagically save the equalizer status and its settings (default enabled). Code cleanup.

* we don't need AUTHORS, THANKS, COPYING and README (generic edition) inside our app bundle anymore, as they're either hard-coded or present on the disk-image anyway

* implemented the generic VLC media player Help window on OSX to match the QT4 interface. Additionally, I modified the HTML source a bit, so potential umlauts won't be displayed as UTF-16 on OSX, which would lead to German umlauts being Chinese characters, etc. BTW. Withthis commit, we also link against the WebKit framework..

macosx: Multiple GUI improvements follow j-b's and my approach to synchronise the QT4 and OSX intfs, more to come
- "Use DVD Menus" is inverted now, so it's "No DVD Menus"
- 3 dots at the end of a menu-item's caption mean that the entry will trigger a window (following Apple's HIGL)
- removed the entries for "Report a Bug" and "License". The first isn't necessary as we got enough of them and users doing useable reports know how to do, the latter will re-appear in the to-be-re-designed About panel.
- additionally, removed useless occurences of vlc_bool_t in favour of BOOL
- preparations to add fps to Statistics

    - removed <10.3 support in the preferences' code
    - added preliminary support for Obj-C 2.0 / Garbage Collection
        - needs to be enabled manually in intf.h for now and is restricted to future Darwin release
    - updated various copyright dates to approbate values
    - configured the source tree in the Xcode project for future Xcode releases
    - finally renamed the Xcode project to the correct bundle extension
