The system/core and hardware/libhardware directories are
the ics versions (since there's no honeycomb tags in those repos),
frameworks/base is from 5310a731eab664352, the last commit prior to
the updated IOMX ABI in ics. (Using frameworks/base from
android-3.2.4_r1 doesn't work with the ics versions of the other
repos, and there's no clear pointers to which version would match in
those repos.)

choices are :
- AudioTrack (natif) <= default
- AudioTrack (java)
- OpenSL ES          <= only available in 2.3+

This solves quite a few issues on my Nexus One, notably inside MKVs

- Detect leading digits of NDK version
    (Versions prior to 7 didn't have a RELEAST.TXT file)
- Don't automatically update existing vlc checkout
    Abort if the checkout does not contain the tested commit
    Give destructive instructions for update

Error mode broke any version not NDKr7

TODO: --enable-thumb for ffmpeg

Move enabling of audiotrack where required
